BG Chaney serves as the principal advisor for all Army matters to The Adjutant General, Texas. His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit; Bronze Star; Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters; Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters; Army Achievement Medal; Iraqi Campaign Medal; NATO Medal; Bronze DeFleury Medal and the Order of Saint Barbara.
